What's actually inside your Kinure kit.
Every ingredient in your kit is listed here with an honest explanation of what it does. No marketing language. No inflated claims.
KINURE CLARIFYING FACEWASH
Full list: Aqua, SLES, EDTA, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polyquaternium-7, Glycerin, Essence, Vitamin D
Salicylic Acid: A beta-hydroxy acid that penetrates inside pores to dissolve dead skin cells and excess sebum — the primary cause of blackheads and inflammatory acne. Most clinically studied acne ingredient.
Glycolic Acid: An alpha-hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin surface. Removes dead cells, smooths uneven texture, and with consistent use may help reduce the appearance of marks from old breakouts.
SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate): A surfactant that creates lather and removes oil. Effective at cleansing but can cause dryness in some skin types — glycerin is included specifically to counterbalance this.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine: A gentle coconut-derived cleanser that reduces the harshness of SLES and helps create a smoother lather. Better tolerated than harsher surfactants alone.
Glycerin: Draws water into the skin and holds it there. Prevents the actives from over-drying the skin during cleansing.
Polyquaternium-7: A conditioning agent that leaves skin feeling smooth after rinsing. Functional ingredient — no active treatment role.
Citric Acid: Adjusts the formula pH to a skin-appropriate level. Minor exfoliant at the concentrations used.
EDTA (Disodium EDTA): Stabilises the formula and extends shelf life. Standard preservative aid used widely in skincare.
Vitamin D: Skin conditioning ingredient. Supports skin health during treatment. Not a primary acne-fighting ingredient.
Essence / Fragrance: Added for scent. Note: fragrance is a known allergen for some people. If you have a fragrance sensitivity or reactive skin, patch test before use.
KINURE ACNE CONTROL CREAM
Full list: Water, GMS, Stearic Acid, Vaseline, Glycolic Acid, White Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Glycerin, DMDM Hydantoin, TEA, Fragrance, Cetostearyl Alcohol, SLS
Glycolic Acid: In a leave-on cream the glycolic acid is more active than in the rinse-off facewash. Exfoliates overnight, smooths skin texture, and may help reduce the appearance of superficial marks with consistent use.
Vaseline (Petrolatum): Occlusive moisturiser that seals in moisture and supports the skin barrier while treatment ingredients work overnight.
Glycerin: Lightweight hydration that draws moisture into skin without blocking pores.
GMS / Stearic Acid / Cetostearyl Alcohol: Emulsifiers and emollients that give the cream its texture, spreadability, and skin feel. Standard cream base ingredients.
White Oil (Mineral Oil): Emollient moisturiser. Well established safety record. May not suit all acne-prone skin types — patch test before full face application.
Methylparaben + Propylparaben: Preservatives that prevent microbial growth in the formula. Widely used and approved globally. Some consumers prefer to avoid them — full transparency is why they are listed.
DMDM Hydantoin: A preservative that releases small amounts of formaldehyde to prevent bacterial growth. Approved for use in cosmetics. If you have a known formaldehyde sensitivity, do not use this product.
SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate): Functions as an emulsifier in the cream at low concentrations. Patch test before use if you have reactive or sensitive skin.
TEA (Triethanolamine): pH adjuster and emulsifier. Standard cosmetic ingredient at regulated concentrations.
Fragrance: Added for scent. Known allergen for some people. If you have fragrance sensitivity, patch test before use.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Patch test both products before first use. Apply a small amount to your inner arm. Wait 24 hours. If no reaction, proceed.
- Discontinue use immediately if you experience persistent redness, burning, swelling, or severe irritation.
- Not suitable for use on broken, open, or severely inflamed skin.
- Not for use on children.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use. Salicylic acid and glycolic acid are not recommended during pregnancy.
